In 1837 our company began as water engineers and evolved through time to become general builders with all the 4 main trades of carpenters, bricklayers, painters and plumbers employed, up to approx a maximum of 30 employees in the 1980's. Now, the 6th an 7th generations of the family are involved only in building specialised timber eco houses. Our work is in conjunction with foreign specialists - mainly a Lithuanian company called "Tavo Namas" (which means "Your Home").
This is a solid engineered/laminated log house built near Southwold, Suffolk which has a large solar tube system to run the underfloor heating. Our Lithuanian colleagues are specialists in building with all types of timber buildings - post and beam - solid log (natural round or laminated/engineered) - or simple timber frame that is more common in the UK.
Although we mainly build our own speculative projects we would consider building specialist timber homes, particularly 'post and beam', for Clients or those seeking to 'self build'.
